Love is a verb, an action. Love is the heart of what drives all of Creation. It is an outward pushing force, seeking to touch and connect. Love is the root of all life. Without love, life cannot grow. Love vitalizes all. With it we dream, we believe and seek. Love softens things, allowing us to learn forgiveness. Being loved, we find the capacity to love ourselves and others. We grow, become great and give to the world through the action of love.
It is also something that everything has from its inception: The ability to receive it and the ability to give it. How well either is done depends on a number of factors: Are we able to understand and open to the wellspring itself no matter the circumstance? Are we so wrapped up in ourselves that we have forgotten that there are others beyond us? Have we understood the kindness others may have given us? Do we love ourselves?
It is selfish in nature because it knows desire and within that desire, it learns what is to be pleased and discovers “mine”. Love will seek the happiness of others to render happiness to itself, because it knows that it is a commodity that only grows if it is given away. When we feel love, the core of the Universe is flowing through us.
