All things have their season, their time, in the course of a life lived and each season we pass through has its own climate we must deal with. When we are young, we learn to weather the storms of one season and endure the calm of others. As we gain experience, we learn to to either confront our storms head on, or we learn the tricks necessary to moving with them in such a way as to take advantage of them. Both are strategies with which we define the constructs of our lives and lead ourselves through circumstance. We also learn to appreciate the days of calmness for these are the periods of rest, reflection and assessment: Now, before and what will be. This is the beginning of tempering.
The seasons of our lives temper us and each of us becomes as we should, when we should, where we should. The Universe always makes us into what we are meant to be, even if we reach a point and we become something else. If we are needed in one place, we shall find ourselves there. If we are needed to do something, we shall find ourselves doing it at some point. It is time’s purpose to bring us to our proper time and season, ready for the task that only we can do, in the way only we can do: The seasons of life regulate us and our experiences to restrain us within the due limits of our personal nature and bring us to the suitable state required to fulfill our purpose. It is when this point comes that we are able to make real sense of our lives: We are able to see much of the pattern and know how things mesh together. We know that we have been blended into just the right mix for that moment. We see that we are both canvas and paint, artist and brush and the Universe is our inspiration and we its muse.
Timelessness
In the moment of being our purpose, we realize that we were never mortal; that we are and in fact, always have been, immortal. This season in which we find ourselves is just that – a season through which we will pass and move on again as always, whether in the form we know now, or one we will know. This has been, will be again and has always been. We are shapers of things simply by being, but now we flow as we choose and choose as we flow: We dance to weave. We paint to build. We write to carve and we sing to contain it all and move all within the flow. Thus, we begin again.
We become the true expression of art, which is the expression of the Universe and the true nature of time. We know them in their primary forms. In the process, we also become the true purpose of art – to be a builder in the shaping of reality and the Universe and in turn, become a maker of destinies with our every action.
