engines-iconThis journey is achieved via the routes of either pain or pleasure. Since pain is the longer lasting teacher, the seeker finds this is the usual path: That which is painful becomes hardwired so that we do not repeat the same mistake, although we often do. Repetition occurs because when the pain is too profound, we end up in recursive loops like an injured animal that has been cornered. It is also important to note that sometimes the Universe takes it upon itself to choose who will be a seeker. This in itself is often a painful experience. The answer as to why, will only become obvious over time in hindsight.

This space is only reached after one has come to the end of oneself. When that end is reached, one will be pushed yet further to go beyond all the parameters of reality one has conjured for oneself. Only then can a new space be opened to one. It is a journey that takes the form of an ever-turning, inward travelling spiral; enlightenment is never an outward journey – it not found “out there”. Enlightenment is found within.

At the beginning, the answers along the way are often not what was expected and often far more deep. By the halfway mark, one learns that though the answers one has gained thus far are true and useful, they often must be laid aside for new ones to be seen. If not, then you have already answered and cannot learn any more, but keep in mind, this does not mean that there is nothing left to be learned.
