Purpose of the Site

We all ask, “Why am I here?’ at sometime or other in our lives. But the real question we’re trying to ask is, “Why is the Universe here and what is the purpose of existence?” When we know that, we feel that we will have the answer to our place in the grand scheme of things. Actually, there is a great deal of truth in that; it’s like having a map of it all with a You Are Here arrow to point out to us how we fit into things.

But what if you really thought about setting yourself a quest to truly answer that question? If you did, you would have to begin by rephrasing what it is you seek. Instead, you might ask, “What is the meaning of Life?” This provides a context to understand any answers you might discover. Then you would need to understand why you would ask in the first place.

If the question is asked, then one presupposes there is an answer and if there is answer, then there needs to be design. If there is design, then a designer and if there is a designer, then one has been designed to ask the question, or one wouldn’t ask. If one has been designed to ask the question, then there would be an answer. So, the quest would not be futile, assuming the hypothesis to be correct.

What you find here is the result of my personal quest to answer that question: What is the Meaning of Life?

How It’s Written

The writing here is deliberately terse. Firstly because the less elaborated on critical essentials for a topic such as this one, the better: It should as clearly as possible present a concise, clear and accurate image of that truth. It should also leave room for the reader’s experience and truth to be comfortably inserted into that truth. The style of the writing is (I hope) designed to stimulate the reader, spurring insights and ideas. Most of this occurs between the lines, as it were.

VERY IMPORTANT

I do NOT consider what I share here as – The Whole Truth & Nothing But The Truth. It is a part of the truth. The fact that this is only a part is very important: This is not the whole truth by any means. The whole truth could be expressed in a multitude of ways. I am a practical person, so that’s why I chose the aspects that I did. Even in completing the model that I have, the reader needs to understand that that’s exactly what it is – a model. Truth is something that simply is and trying to describe it from only one point of view will forever leave it uncompleted.

How the Site is Organized

This site is an online version of a book I’ve been working on for the last several years and I decided to use Wordpress to make my life easier to put that information up. However, Wordpress was designed more as a diary for people to express the happenings in their live – not to place a conceptually complex book online – so I needed to create this page to explain how to read the book on the site.

The easiest way to explain is to first describe the model I work from:

The model is visualized as a wheel consisting of a hub with eight spokes and a rim. In order of importance:

The hub translates as the Engines of the Universe. Begin with Love, then The Infinite followed by Unity, Compassion, The Eternal, and finally, Harmony.

The eight spokes translate to the Pillars of the Heart. Begin here with Hope, followed by Choice, then Trust, Vision, Initiative, Responsibility, Belief and Focus.

The rim then becomes the Pathways of Life. Begin with Relationship, then Potential, then Connection, Growth, Change, Maturation, Expansion, and finally, Uniqueness.

Insights are directly related to the model, but don’t fit into nice little slots within it. Thoughts still follow the model (I live this life – that’s how I’m able to describe it), but are more like the road under the wheel – or rather the observations of the walker of the road. Reviews are simply that: Reviews of products (generally) of related interest to what’s covered on this site – personal growth, spirituality, self-help, alternative science, spiritual science, etc..

I am deliberately posting the book in smaller bite-sized chunks to make assimilating the information easier.

To help identify where you are, I decided to use icons for each category – the article icons match the icons you see in the menu.

It should be noted that at this point I’m not planning to put the book up in it’s entirety – only the main framework. As I complete sections of the book for online publication, I will update this page for greater understanding of the model and better direction / navigation around the site.
