Here's a little piece of wisdom I gained from all the years I've had to deal with Wake Up Calls from the Universe and from watching other people deal with their lives: If we have to deal with something often enough, we can shoulder it like it's nothing - even the terrible burdens. However, if we do, we can also become numb, or at least indifferent to the pattern/way we're living and this includes the good or pleasant stuff too.
